Claire Judge is a multi-talented Creative Director and photographer whose work weaves through the worlds of fashion, textiles, lifestyle, photography, and music.
Claire’s cross-cultural, London / Hong Kong heritage informs the fusion of her "east-meets-west" design aesthetic, bringing a unique spirit to everything she creates.
Her career began early, collaborating with the acclaimed British designer Abe Hamilton, where she assisted him in developing his womenswear collections. This work ultimately earned him the British Council’s ‘New Generation Designer of the Year’ award.
In 2003, inspired by her exquisite family heirlooms of Chinese silk, Claire created Alöe, a luxury women’s loungewear brand offering cool, fashion-forward silk lingerie and pyjamas. Alöe quickly became London’s niche destination for luxury loungewear, sparking the trend for wearing nightwear as daywear.
Alöe’s debut collection was a hit and was snapped up by prestigious stores Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Fenwick Bond Street, Barneys NY, Le Bon Marché Paris, Baycrews Japan and Coco de Mer.
Alöe's success led to collaborations with H&M’s ‘& Other Stories’, diffusion lines for major London stores including Harvey Nichols and Topshop and a celebrity client base that includes Nicole Kidman, Kate Moss, Dita Von Teese and Helena Christensen.
Alöe was named as Vogue’s ‘Secret Address book’ favourite loungewear label and designs have featured in the films ‘Sex And The City: The Movie’ and ‘Spiderman 3’.
As Creative Director of Alöe, Claire art directs all the brand's promotional videos and photo shoots. She also consults as an art director and photographer for other fashion and lifestyle brands.
In addition to her work in fashion, Claire has a background in music photography, contributing to various music publications and collaborating with major record labels including EMI, Sony, and BMG.
